Lead engineer responsible for project that reviewed OEM requirements, as well as vendor performance and relationships with the supply chain. Traveled and met with vendors onsite, working together to substantiate all quality requirements for successful product launch.
Led project across three shops around the world (Texas, Brazil, and Singapore) in reducing quality defects and scrap waste of Low Pressure Turbine blades. Performed deep analysis into defects with teams, developed a roadmap to success, and implemented the roadmap. Resulted in $10 million in the first year, with a total projected savings of $50 million during product lifecycle.
Created first locomotive hybrid simulation class under the Python programming language utilizing current diesel-electric locomotive data. Provides a new, systems-level view of sizing and running hybrid locomotives throughout customer's systems, comparing testing back to the simulation.
